Nomad's Racing News -Additional Information- NOMAD'S CLUB RACING By: Debbie Durkovic Although the ski season is over, December will be here before you know it and I would like to encourage everyone to consider participating in Club Racing. You don't need to be an expert skier or even an intermediate skier. I started racing the second year I skied. For a few years, I did all my races in a snowplow, but each time I finished a race and made all the gates, I felt a sense of accomplishment. And believe me, racing is a great way to improve your skiing. I still feel butterflies as I stand in the starting gate, but I am always so exhilarated when I finish. So, if you haven't tried racing but are interested, please email or call me. You can also talk to Phil Lorenzi, our CMCS Race Chairperson. He is a wealth of knowledge on racing. If you raced during the 2007 / 2008 ski season, your racing certificate will be available at Ski-a-Rama. deborah.durkovic@jpmchase.com
CMSC ALPINE RACING By: Phil Lorenzi, Racing Chairman If you want to participate in races, contact Phil Lorenzi at 708-532-3349 or safariphil@gmail.com so I can pre-register you for a specific race. This will save you time and money over on-hill registration. There are a wide variety of classes to suit anyone of any ability level. "Come out and have some fun." |
